Quick and Easy Super Bowl Party Snacks that Are Sure to Please

Quick and Easy Snacks for Any Occasion

After many years of cooking for church socials, parties and family get-togethers, I have found a few dishes/snacks that are guaranteed crowd pleaser's. With Super Bowl Sunday upon us, I thought I would list these
for you. They are quick, easy and simple which means they can be done at the last minute. Enjoy!

Minipigs in a blanket--This is a favorite with the kids as well as the adults. You will need Pillsbury canned refrigerated biscuits, a package of cocktail wieners and a cookie sheet. Take an individual biscuit dough, flatten it with the heel of your hand and slice it in two halves with a knife. Roll one cocktail wiener up in each piece of dough. Continue doing this until you have the desired amount of "blanketed " sausages you want. Place them on a cookie sheet and bake according to the directions on the canned biscuit dough container. Serve with mustard and ketchup for dipping.

Fantastic Nachos--You will need one large box of Velveeta cheese, two cans of Rotel tomatoes, tortilla chips, a bowl and your microwave. Melt the Rotel tomatoes and Velveeta in a bowl in your microwave. This should be done on high but stir often. Serve with tortilla chips, ground beef, refried beans and sour cream for a hearty crowd pleaser.

Vegetable Platter--Take a trip to the market and choose some fresh veggies for this super snack. Broccoli, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, sugar snap beans, carrots, cucumbers, and just about any other vegetable that can be eaten raw is great. Serve these with Ranch or Spinach dip and you're all set. You can do the same with fruit and serve a caramel or cream cheese dip with it.

Meat and Cheese Platters--Don't buy the prepared platters from your local deli. They are too expensive. Pick up a few packages of your favorite Oscar Meyer cold cuts and Kraft cheeses. Arrange these on a pretty platter and serve with a selection of breads and condiments. Don't forget the pickles! You can make your own platter at half the cost of the deli prepared ones and they will be just as nice. The guys will devour them!

I'm seeing these a day late but with teens in the house there is no time like the present to keep snacks on hand!
