Super Tuesday and Other State Primaries and the General Election: What to Consider when You Vote

Super Tuesday is coming very soon and then so are the Presidential Election primaries in many other states. This means, if you're in one of these upcoming states and haven't yet voted, you've got to make a decision on who you're going to vote for. Then, you have to vote in the general election. Are you still undecided or do you know for sure?

Here are some factors to consider when making your decision:

Please note: Some of these questions are relevant only if you are in a state that allows you to vote for another party other than what you are registered for. In some states, for instance, independent-registered voters may vote Republican or Democrat. Or, the questions are relevant for you for the general election. Keep this in mind when you read through the list.

1. What is their stance on the war? And what is their plan on what to do about it? You need to know how they feel about the war. Do they want it to end immediately, or do they want to finish it first? If the candidate wants to end the war, what is the exact plan of how they are going to do it. Is this safe for the troops? Think carefully, as this is a major issue.

2. What is the candidate's view on healthcare? Does the candidate want healthcare for everyone? This would mean more taxes to pay for it. Or, does the candidate want privately-funded health insurance? If so, how will the poor pay for it? Find out what the candidates' positions are on this subject.

Also, it's not just about what the candidate wants, the Presidential hopeful also has to have a plan to make it happen. Anyone can want a 0% rate of unemployment, for instance, but if they can't achieve it, what did any of it mean?

3. The Economy. Does the candidate have the knowledge to help the economy get back on its feet and a way to do it? The candidate needs to possess a strong knowledge of how the economy works, experience working with budgets, and plans of action to reduce budget deficits and strengthen the economy.

Right now, the dollar is incredibly weak. What does the candidate propose to do about strengthening our position among nations in terms of financial well-being and stock markets.
