Even if you don't have a mixer, like I lacked, you can beat the eggs with a whisk real quick and it took me twenty minutes of beating until I could get peaks. My arm was so tired, I had to beat really quick, then relax, beat really quick, then relax. So once I had the egg fluff, I added a tiny bit of corn starch. Then I dipped my hands in this fluffy concoction only to discover that not all the whites had turned to fluff, better luck next time. So I patted the goo on my face and listened to relaxation tapes for twenty minutes while it tightened on my face.
I must say, I got a lot of good attention at church the next day. Maybe I'll try it again with a beater this time. It washed off with soap and water. And my skin looked better than it had in a while. Less creases in my forehead and everything. I don't usually take time to pamper myself, but I think I'll try a few more of these little beauty tricks. I am making my own bath salt now. Scented with geranium, lemon grass and sweet basil, I love the smell. I'm gonna see if I can sell it. I love making it and it smells lovely. I might even try making a few soaps too.
The trick with the cucumber on your eyes is mentioned for reducing eye swelling. I think its good after crying the night before. I've enjoyed soaking in the tub with the bath salts I bought, now I'm looking forward to economical beauty. I never realized it was such an accessible luxury. Every girl should have the book, its called, Natural Bath and Body Book. By Casey Kellar and it is a sumptuous treat to know how to whip up one of these concoctions. It can make any day seem brighter. And all it takes is a little know how.
Sometimes, when they talk of loving yourself, its not enough to say "I love myself," You have to do something to pamper yourself, and it doesn't have to break the bank. You just go to the library and viola, find something that fits your needs.
