So your living space is limited. What do you do with all of your things? Let's tour the house and see what ideas we can come up with.Starting with the kitchen - Most people have a kitchen table; how about having a kitchen booth installed in the kitchen? The benches could also be useful as storage. If you don't have enough room for canned goods, think about converting a nearby closet into a pantry. Build some shelves in the closet or buy a shelving unit. Plastic containers are inevitable; you may as well make them stackable. Pans take quite a bit of space because of their handles. Have you ever thought of hanging them from a rack on the ceiling? This would free up a cupboard and give your kitchen some style.
An interesting spice rack can be put on the wall freeing up counter space. Put a pegboard with j-hooks on the wall and you have a utensil site. A dividing station can be used for freezer bags, aluminum foil, saran wrap and wax paper and can be kept on a wall in the pantry. Having all household cleaners in one place makes cleaning time easier. Put some fruit in one of your bowls and use that as a centerpiece. Use another bowl for some potpourri or a floating candle. This gets some bowls out of the cupboards and helps you with some inexpensive decoration.
Let's go into the living room. When it comes time for lighting choices, floor lamps and sconces are the way to go. A floor lamp takes very little space, and there are many stylish options out there. When buying ottomans and end tables, make sure the lid comes off or there are drawers and/or doors that open. These places can keep the floor clean, making your space look more attractive.
In the bedroom, there are a few places for storage possibilities. Store sheets and pillow cases between the box spring and the mattress. Pajamas and blankets can be kept under the bed in totes, baskets, or drawers on casters. Place a cup rack on the wall and use it to hang jewelry.
