The presence of wolves in the Rocky Mountains is bringing the wildnerness into balance, according to care2.com, but just as the population begins to recover in the western U.S., the animals' future could be take away."Wolves aren't recovered to the point where a stable future is guaranteed," said Breanna of Care 2. "After more than a decade of conservation efforts and millions of federal dollars, wolves are finally returning to the northern Rockies." (Source: Care2).
You can tell Congress to oppose the Bush administration's plans to wipe out nearly 80 percent of all the wolves remaining in the Northern Rockies by signing an online petition at care2.com.
In unrelated news, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (Pancan.org) is having a Cruise for the Cause which includes a three-night Baja cruise called "Monarch of the Seas departing Los Angeles, CA June 13; a seven-night Mexican Riviera one called "Vision of the Seas" leaving L.A. July 20; a three-night Bahamas cruise ("Majesty of the Seas") departing Miami, FL Aug. 15; and a seven-night Western Caribbean ship, which is called "Freedom of the Seas" and leaves Miami Aug. 31. The cruise line is Royal Caribbean and all travel must be booked directly with Worldwide Travel no later than March 10.

In other business news, the Gladney Center for Adoption in Fort Worth, TX is having two Bright Futures Camps - one for Russia and one for Ethiopia. Millions of children live in orphanages around the globe, according to Gladney. There are many other ways to become involved in the camp if you can't adopt.
