The presence of wolves in the Rocky Mountains is bringing the wildnerness into balance, according to care2.com, but just as the population begins to recover in the western U.S., the animals' future could be take away.

"Wolves aren't recovered to the point where a stable future is guaranteed," said Breanna of Care 2. "After more than a decade of conservation efforts and millions of federal dollars, wolves are finally returning to the northern Rockies." (Source: Care2).

You can tell Congress to oppose the Bush administration's plans to wipe out nearly 80 percent of all the wolves remaining in the Northern Rockies by signing an online petition at care2.com.
