Problem Solution Essay
The First Amendment states that every person has the right to practice their own religion, freedom of the press and speech, and also the right to petition the government. However, problems occur from having these rights, mostly resulting in threats and violence. Protesting controversial subjects contributes to this problem of violence and rioting. Pro-life believers gather to object abortion by standing outside clinics and harshly yelling at the women attempting to get inside. They will also block the entrance by standing in front of it. I found it astonishing to learn that anti abortion groups went as far back as the 80's teaching classes on how to rally. The classes taught protesters to do anything from picketing and handing out pamphlets or as extreme as to chaining themselves to the doors at clinics. There was a story, from the beginning of this year, about a doctor who occasionally performed abortions.
