Call of Duty 4: How to Get the Golden Weapons

Call of Duty 4 is an awesome game both in terms of realistic combat gameplay and online capabilities. There are so many features within the game that any gun that you obtain can be easily customized to fit the players needs. These changes include powerups like red dot scopes and silencers, and cosmetic changes like different camouflages for each gun like the digital camo, red tiger and many more. one of the neatest and hard to obtain cosmetic changes is getting the Golden Guns!

Golden Guns are awarded for each class of weapon and serve no real purpose within the game except to just look really cool. The first step to obtaining the golden weapons is to reach experience level 55. At this point you will have unlocked most every challenge in the game, and just for reaching level 55 you will receive the first golden weapon, the Golden Dessert Eagle. Once you have reached level 55 you can refer to the Barracks in order to see the specific challenges in each class and how your progress with those challenges is coming.

The Golden Weapons:

Assault Rifle Class - AK-47
Shotgun Class - M1014
Light Machinegun Class - M-60
Sniper Rifle Class - Dragonuv
Pistol Class - Dessert Eagle
Sub-Machinegun Class - Mini-Uzi

Each classification of weapons has one golden gun. For example the Assault rifle class, which includes the AK-47, M-16, G-3, and more contains only one golden gun and that is the golden version of the AK-47. This stands true for each classification in the game, they contain one golden gun, not a golden version of every gun which may be a common misconception and myth.

To unlock the golden gun for any class you must first unlock every weapon within that class, this comes along with being level 55. Then you must complete every challenge in that class with every weapon. These challenges will consist of getting X number of kills with each weapon, the expert challenge, and getting X number of headshots with each weapon, the marksmen challenge. These challenges will be to get 150 kills per weapon, and also to get 150 headshots with each weapon.
