Create the pin according to the instructions that came with your kit.
Now, on to the spring daisy. You need to buy one silk daisy form the craft store. Look for a Gerber daisy, or something that can easily hold the photo pin in the middle.
Pop the back off of the silk flower. This will be the green stem as well as the leaves. You wan tot leave the flat circle holding the petals together intact.
On the font of the flower you want to install your pin. The needle will not be going through the back of the flower. It will not reach and still close.
Insert halfway into the middle, and then angle it out the other side. Close the pin to hold in place.
Now, thread you needle. Turn the silk daisy pin face down on your table.
Use one metal pin backing from the crafts store and sew it onto he back of the flower. Sewing is best since glue will not have a flat surface to adhere to.
Start by slipping the needle and thread through the left side of the back of the flower, pull it out straight, slide the pin on to the back, pull it down on to the flower, and hold in place.
Continue sewing through the holes until the craft pin feels sturdy. Tie off the end of the thread in knot an you are finshed!
This is a fun craft for girls to make at a slumber party. You can use glitter on the daisy leaves, fabric paint on the petals, and get creative as you wish!
