I've been sick the past few days and haven't really felt like eating anything. While at the grocery store, I thought I would get some ice cream. Haggen-Dazs was on sale for $2.50, but none of the flavors really appealed to me. Being a foodie, I enjoy flavors that have more to offer than just plain strawberry or vanilla bases. I happened to look down and see that Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream was on sale for $2.29. The flavor sounded great and the price was wonderful, but how would Starbucks Java Chips Ice Cream actually taste?Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream Review: Taste
Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream is the best coffee ice cream I have ever tasted. The coffee flavor is rich, dark, and perfectly sweetened. The chunks of chocolate enhance the flavor and are the perfect contrast. You can also tell that this brand is made with a cream that has a high butter fat content. Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream is the creamiest brand I have ever tasted.
Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream Review: Texture
As I mentioned above, Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream seems to be made with cream that has a high butter fat content. What this means, besides great flavor, is that the product is scoopable straight from the freezer. Brands that are made with less butter fat content setup like a rock in the freezer. A perfect example of this is low-fat ice cream. Because Starbucks Java Chip Ice Cream has such a great texture in its base, that the chocolate chunks add a nice crunch and contrast.
