Everybody person dreams of being something when they're a kid. Maybe you dream of being a fire fighter or a baseball player or an astronaut. When I was kid there was only one thing I wanted to be when I grew up, Robin Hood.

Robin Hood is simply the best character ever created. Robin Hood is good looking. Robin Hood is good-hearted. Robin Hood is smart and witty. Robin Hood uses a bow and arrow, because guns are way to easy. Robin Hood wears a lot of green and the cherry on top, Robin Hood always has facial hair.

The Robin Hood character has been used a lot in films and television and these are the six best versions.

6. Princess of Thieves
Okay so Princess of Thieves is not a great movie but the story or Robin Hood having a daughter is a pretty interesting one. Plus Keira Knightley shooting a bow and arrow = hot.

5. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
If I recall correctly Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves didn't go over well with the critics. I don't blame them though, Kevin Costner is a horrible Robin Hood. On the other hand nobody does evil like Alan Rickman. He totally saves this movie.

4. Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Though I liked Alan Rickman, Prince of Thieves was totally deserving of a parody movie and Cary Elwes and Dave Chappelle knock this one out of the park.

3. Disney Robin Hood
The Disney version of Robin Hood has always been my favorite Disney movie. It's got a lot of fun, a lot of action and a lot of animals. Most importantly the characters all match up with their animals perfectly. Robin Hood is perfect as a fox and Maid Marian is perfect as a different kind of fox. Little John as a bear is great and who doesn't like when the rhinos and elephants chase Robin Hood around.

2. Robin Hood (BBC)
I know the DVDs are expensive but any Robin Hood fan should get their hands on the BBC's Robin Hood series that is currently going on. Jonas Armstrong Robin is okay but the show thrives on the villains. Keith Allen as the Sheriff of Nottingham and Richard Armitage as Guy of Gisborne on BBC's Robin Hood are awesome. I'm currently not speaking to BBC Robin Hood though because they killed Maid Marian. I'm sure we'll make up before the new season starts though.
