With executions on hold at the busiest "Killing State," Texas, a second inmate has allegedly committed suicide using a sheet to hang himself at a psychiatric prison cell unit Jester IV while he was unsupervised.

William Robinson, 49, who was convicted of murder, was sentenced to die after only 11 minutes of jury deliberation. The sentence came under the Texas "Law Of Parties," a law that states you can receive the death penalty for being present at a crime, according to the Associated Press.

Robinson had a history of suicidal tendencies, and was a paranoid schizophrenic and mentally retarded. He was found hanging by officers around 5 AM. He was then put on life support, but apparently Robinson's mother decided the best thing would be to stop the life support when doctors reported he was brain dead according to Associated Press.

Associated Press reported his federal and state appeals were pending at this time.

Another inmate, Jesus Flores, was recently found in a puddle of his own blood at the Polunsky unit in Texas. He apparently slit his own throat. Details of his suicide can be read here.

Sorry about the typo, "Which" not "Witch"!

If he was only on a close watch (Not a constant watch) witch is about every half an hour, then the C/O and the state did nothing wrong. The State doesn't have the resources to watch every inmate every minute of the inmates life. That would be impossible. Sad maybe, wrong doing on the states behalf, I doubt it.

If the guy that hung himself was on a suicide watch, someone wasn't doing their job. That someone can be held criminally and civilly responsible. We just had a case like that in Ohio. That C/O is being prosecuted by the Highway Patrol. I'd hate to be in his shoes!!!! Just the fear of being sued or going to jail myself keeps me on my toes.

Wow, that left me speechless!!!

I always find it sad when people take their own lives, even they have done horrible things - such a sad way to go.

This is odd.... I tried to post a comment, and it didn't post. Anyway, I wonder who Bill is and how he knows these details? I thought this was a well written report, and I find it very sad.

I wonder how "Bill", if that's even his real name, knows all of these details? I thought this was very well written, and it's very sad.

Mike, I have had more time on my hands to comment on others. I think this is why all the comments. Usually I am too busy to comment as much as I would like to. There must have been a video of this, if so I would want to view it if it were my loved one.

I don't think Bill is an AC producer.

Dang, Dee, you usually don't get all these comments so quick. I suppose I accept 99 percent that these were suicides. By the other hand, about 30 years ago there was a story that a prisoner hung himself in the Saginaw County pen -- not on account of a death penalty because Michigan, I'm proud to say, doesn't allow one -- but I had a buddy who was in the jail at the time and he always noted that word was out that a guard did it. Who knows in t hese hellholes. I know you won't let the critics get you, they're just assholes. -- Mike

Thanks for sharing this story -- and would like to comment more but I've exceeded my political quota comments lately. :-)

I guess they at least chose their own method of death.

Wow, too bad and too sad.

Bill, You seem to know about this case, are you a Texas C.O.? Just wondering because if you are, I would love an interview with you!
