For those of you who missed the BlogTalk Radio Show of this 2 weeks ago, this was a really great show! We had a chance to break down, discuss and examine 10 of the greatest groups the world of Hip-Hop has ever seen! Many have represented but only a legendary few were chosen. So without further delay here were my picks for the Top 10 Greatest Groups in Hip-Hop history!

10. Wu-Tang Clan/Naughty By Nature
Legendary acts that were street oriented but still had commercial clout and success. Wu-Tang was kind of like the New Edition of Hip-Hop if you will, for their ability to have success as a group, then split up and blow up as solo acts to take their success even further! Almost every major founding member of Wu-Tang sold atleast gold off their debut solo albums (Ghostface w/Iron Man, Raekwon the Chef w/Only Built for Cuban Link, The Gza, w/Liquid Swords, or O.D.B. w/Return of the 36 Chambers, etc.), except for Method Man who achieved multi-platinum success with his first solo effort Tical! And also earned a Grammy for his ghetto love anthem "You're All I Need To Get By" feat. Mary J. Blige!

Naughty was just one of those groups that came in and caught fire immediately due to their hard edged rhyme style and edgy swagger, infectious, anthem like hooks, radio friendly, and club ready production (courtesy of Kay Gee, a truly slept on producer in the game), and a style unlike any other mainly thanks to the flava of their lead MC, Treach! Like the Wu, Naughty also pioneered MC's starting up their own clothing lines back in the early 90's as well, and sparked an East Coast movement that kept the powers in Hip-Hop fair & balanced, during a time (in the early 90's) when the West Coast dominated in the streets, jeeps and on the charts!

I liked Run DMC, but I LOVED Public Enemy. I'm surprised and relieved that Salt n' Pepa made this list, but I think Outkast should've been higher up. Outkast to this day, even though they swear they didn't break up although they make separate music, would've been like number two or three for me. However, your article...your list. *thumbs up*
