Like most people I have tried my share of protein powders over the years and found that they either tasted like wallpaper paste or didn’t mix well and went down in big lumps. I enjoy having my smoothie in the morning so continued to jump from one protein powder to the next, always looking for that one perfect protein powder. And I found it recently when I tried Jay Robb’s Whey Protein Powder.

I had been trolling the aisles of my local health food store looking for yet another protein powder when an employee came by and recommended I try the Jay Robb. It was a bit spendy but thought I’d give it a shot, why not? Have to admit that I did not hold out much hope that this protein powder would be any better than the others I had tried, even though it had cost me quite a bit more. But it ended up being the best decision I ever made!

First of all, this is without question the best tasting protein powder I have found in my 10+ years of drinking protein powders. It definitely earns its reputation of being “the best-tasting protein on the planet”. It comes in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry; I have also noticed that it is available online in pina colada and tropical dreamsicle flavors as well. Tried the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors, they were all totally yummy. But, since I love to add fruit and often use vegetable juice (that I juice myself), I found that the vanilla flavor worked best for me since it blends taste-wise with everything. It blends up nice and smooth, no lumps at all! I use it in my blender at home but have also mixed it in a shaker cup or with just a spoon while traveling and it blended just as well. A test most protein powders cannot stand up to! It is available in 1 lb, 2, lb, and 6 lb. sizes, with the 1 lb size running about $20.
