This is a basic oatmeal cookie recipe. This can be enjoyed as is or used as a base for the following recipes.
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 cup oats
¾ cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1tsp vanilla (100% natural - no imitations)
½ tsp almond extract (100% natural - no imitations)
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp baking powder.
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350F and grease a baking sheet. In a large mixing bowl, blend all of the ingredients together. I often just throw all the ingredients together, rather than using a specific order, so feel free to do it how you want, as long as all the ingredients are blended. Your end result should yield a dough of thick consistency. Spoon the dough onto the baking sheet (teaspoon sized balls), 1 inch apart from each other. These take 8-10 minutes to cook. Halfway into the cooking process, you'll want to flatten the cookies with the back of a spoon and put them back into the oven. Enjoy! This makes about 3 dozen.

For this recipe, prepare the basic oatmeal cookie recipe first. The recipe will be the same, except you'll need to add ½ cup flour and 1 cup peanut butter. Bake with the same instructions as the original recipe, except you'll want to use a fork instead of a spoon to place a lined shape into the cookies when you press them down.
