First there was Content Rewriter Pro, a software program that makes plagiarizing easier than ever. Now there's Instant Article Wizard, another software program that actually touts itself in its advertising as being able to let you write an article in just minutes on a subject you know nothing about and look like an expert.

This piece of filth is designed to produce keyword dense web content with no voice or style, but with plenty of generic information that contains no insight. The result, as can be viewed in the examples offered on the web page, read excruciatingly like many articles found across the internet. Take the following example that comes straight off the home page for Instant Article Wizard. The subject is home theater systems, always a heavyweight in the world of internet keyword searches:

To some, home theater is simply a big television, but a home theater is really a combination of video and audio components that achieves a theater-like experience. Many people view home theater systems as a luxury. However, home theater is not just for audiophiles anymore. There are many simple home theater systems that are easy to set up. Home Theater is quickly growing hobby and the results that you can achieve even with a modest budget are quite remarkable.

I count six appearances of the keyword "home theater" though I may have missed one or two. That's pretty dense for such a small paragraph and doubtlessly would get this article a nice position on a search return. Anybody looking for any actually useful information, much less a good read, will be disappointed. The rest of the sample article contains absolutely no vital information or insight that you couldn't get just by asking a friend who already owns a home theater. In fact, you could probably get more useful information by asking someone who merely visited your friend. This program is clearly not designed to make anyone a better writer. The writing itself is dead, uninteresting, and repetitive. That may be great for page views, but it is highly dubious to believe that anybody coming across an article generated by this program ever actually reads to the bitter end.

I shouldn't be surprised, but I never knew these programs existed. This is a very sad thing but people will try to make money as fast and as easy as they can. Wish they would just go and fall for those envelope stuffing scams instead of coming into our venues. Thanks for the info, Tim.

That paragraph is 8.8% keyword density...which would actually do poorly in a search engine. Most things over 6% are considered spam and relegated to the bottom of the pile. Yet your point remains valid on the piece of junk.

I agree...the "home theater" piece was a dead and dreary read.

Hmmm...Is this what is used to speak into Bush's earpiece? "There were WMD's..and Al Qaeda is on the run!"
