Four Inexpensive Antiaging Skin Care Aids

If you've passed a cosmetic counter lately, you know how expensive skin care products can be. Each product claims to have the answer to younger, more beautiful looking skin. Unfortunately, these so called "answers" can take a considerable toll on your pocketbook. With these products
you're paying a heavy premium for advertising. Many of these prettily packaged products have no more benefit than the common products you find at your health food store or drugstore. You can avoid this problem by sticking with anti-aging skin care aids that are effective without tacking on the shocking price tag. Here are some super cheap anti-aging skin care aids that will give you effective results without breaking the bank:

Skin care aids: A metal pan, a towel, and some dried herbs

Yes, simpler is sometimes better. One of the most effective ways to revitalize sallow, tired skin is a five minute steam herbal treatment. To do this, bring your pan of water to boiling. Add your fresh herbs. Turn down the heat and allow the herbal water to simmer for five minutes. Pull back your hair and cover your head with a towel to create a tent to direct the steam to your face. Hold your face over the steam for five minutes. Now splash your face with cool water. Does your skin look glowing and youthful?

Skin care aids: Exfoliating pads

Inexpensive exfoliating pads purchased from your local drugstore work remarkably well for skin rejuvenation. Be sure to purchase pads designed specifically for the face since ones used on the body can be too abrasive. Simply wet your face and apply a nondrying soap or cold cream. Use your exfoliating pad to buff your face in a circular motion moving in a clockwise direction until you've covered your face. You'll remove the flakey, dead skin cells that can give your face an aged, tired look. The result will be the emergence of fresh new skin cells. Repeat this process every few days to retain your more youthful looking skin.

I do love Avon's Anew for wrinkle cream. I swear by it. But I am going to try your suggestions as it does get costly!!!

Thank you for this! I did switch to using plain old Zest or Dial soap to wash my face. My mother looks so young and people are surprised at her age. When I found out 2 years ago she used plain old harsh soap, I was shocked! Although as a child I remember her religiously using Oil of Olay before bedtime. At age 25 years I started using creams, too! I do think it helped along with good genes and always wearing a hat or visor in the sun. The reason I did that is because I didn't want freckles. UGH! Since age 18 my face hasn't seen the sun. My freckles are very light now. Yay! I do, however, use a tanning bed and lay in the sun to tan my body. I know...it's bad. I will have a wrinkled body and young face! haha!! But I know..the cancer risks are bad. Thank you again!
