What Each Party Really Stands for

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES: #5
The differences between Conservatives and Liberals touch every aspect of American life. How about health care? Hillary Clinton wanted to turn one third of the nation’s economy over to a health care system that would have been a nightmare. The liberal approach is to raise taxes and set up a new bureaucracy to choose who gets care and who doesn’t. Canada tried that, by the way. Maybe that’s why so many Canadians come to the US for treatment? On the other hand, Canadian (and Mexican) drugs are very popular because of the prices. Conservatives believe that making health care available and affordable for everyone should be the business of voters and legislators. Frivolous malpractice suits are part of the rising cost of medical care. Limit them, and it’s a start. Private insurers should be held accountable for failing to cover what they are supposed to and raising their rates unreasonably. Conservatives backed a bill in the senate awhile back that would allow small businesses, such as funeral homes, to insure their employees under the umbrella of the Funeral Directors Guild and provide coverage for the same price as Guild members. Unfortunately, the Democrats fought it down. Who’s in favor of cheaper health care?

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES: #6
Race relations are very popular in election years. Liberals love to race-bait at every opportunity. They talk about the poor, down-trodden blacks and how the Republicans are keeping them down. Let’s examine this, shall we? Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, freed the slaves. Republicans have fought for civil rights against Democrats and ultimately won. Democrats taunt and insult Conservative black people like J.C.Watts, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice and others for being “Uncle Toms”. The aforementioned people have earned their positions by virtue of their dedication to their country and their abilities. They aren’t tokens, and they aren’t sell outs. Hear that, Minister Farakhan, Jesse Jackson and Maxine Waters? Black people, white people, brown people, red people all have the same opportunities, in spite of the liberal rhetoric. Judging a race by the worst of its members is a mistake. Assuming that people “of color” need special treatment because they aren’t smart enough to get through school or get a job is insane. It’s the lowest form of pandering to make people believe they’re somehow inferior for political gain. But it must work, at least up to a point. Lots of blacks are Democrats.

  • To boil it down, Liberals want big, intrusive government at the taxpayers expense.
  • Conservatives want everyone to have the opportunity to "live long and prosper."
