I am susceptible to canker sores, and have two of them on the insides of my mouth right now. They are both on the upper portion of my mouth, one is to the left just above the lip line and the other is on the right way up high by my gums.

This pain is hard to relieve, but doing so is important to being able to eat a meal and enjoy it! For years I have used a product recommended by my dentist, called Zilactin. I remember my medical doctor prescribing a clear, thick mouth rinse for me years ago, and when I saw the Rincinol in the store, it reminded me of that, so I decided to give it a try.

Description

Rincinol is a G.U.M. product that comes available in different forms. This particular package contains six individual pre-measured packs of the medicine. They are green and white, and measure 2 3/4" x 4", and are quite flat.

You tear the top off and swish the entire contents around your mouth for one full minute, then spit out.

Ingredients

Sodium Hyaluronate, Polyvinylpyrrolidone, Glycyrrhetinic Acid, Aloe Vera Extract, Propylene Glycol, Maltodextrin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, PEG 40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium Edetate, Benzalkonium Chloride, Flavoring (Methylcyclopentenolon US CFR 21 172.515), Sodium Saccharin, purified water.

My Experience

This liquid is clear and very thick. I pour it into a paper Dixie cup, as it's hard to pour directly from the packet into my mouth. One pack contains .33 ounces (10ml) of medicine, and I followed the directions saying to swish contents around my mouth for one minute.

I can't say as the product has much of a flavor, although it is sweetened to make it palatable. The directions say not to eat or drink anything for one hour afterward.
