Many people have stressed that they believe in the paranormal phenomenon over centuries. Is it true? Each person feels that they have their own answer. Through this article I will be showing the various top haunted destinations in California. Haunted Destination One: Alcatraz
We all know about “THE ROCK,” the famous prison Alcatraz. It sits out in the Pacific Ocean and can be seen form San Francisco. Are there really ghost that haunt the halls? Some would say yes. In fact, many strange occurrences have been reported there. The first people recorded that had cold eerie feelings within the building were the Miwok Indians…they believed the chunk of rock was evil.
After the construction of the prison more bizarre happenings came about. Most of the hauntings tend to be creepy sounds that flood the hall of the once inhabited facility. Everything from screaming, to crying, to running, sweep throughout the structure. There is one site however, that has had far too many reports and has sparked investigations of the paranormal sort. The area? D block, cell 14.
Of course there are several famous faces that are said to haunt the halls; from Al Capone to Machine Gun Kelly. So the next time you want to check out one of California’s haunted destinations Alcatraz should be on the list.
Haunted Destination Two: Hotel Del Coronado
The next haunted destination is located just west of San Diego bay, it is a Victorian luxury hotel. It has been used in some of the most memorable films. One person in particular haunts the inn, her name is Kate Morgan.
In 1892 Kate Morgan checked into her room under a false identity, 5 days later she was found dead on the stair case outside, lying in a puddle of her own blood. A single bullet wound to her head was the deed that claimed her life.
