Or Will it Be Another Added Expense of Something that You Don't Really Need?

To determine if wireless internet is a good investment for you will depend greatly on what you use your computer for, where you currently have your computer and what kind of computer you have. After looking at these factors myself I was able to determine if wireless internet was right for me.

If you don't use your computer very often or at least not the internet very often and really don't need any extra expenses you probably don't really need to get wireless internet for your computer, unless perhaps you have a laptop but even then if you are not using it for an extensive amount of time then you probably don't need it. However if you use your computer a lot during the day and more specifically the internet you may find having wireless internet to be worth what it cost you for the service by your provider or the cost of a wireless router.

Another factor of course is where your computer is, whether it is a laptop or desktop computer in one place and you don't plan to move it then wireless internet is probably not for you. Before getting wireless internet you will want to consider what kind of computer you have, no not what brand but if you have a desktop or laptop computer. While wireless internet is great for a desktop computer if you don't what have to deal with cords or you have multiple computers in your home that are placed far apart. If you don't plan to be taking your one desktop computer away from the area that you have it placed than wireless internet really becomes meaningless, and an extra expense. Having a laptop but not having wireless internet can make for some tangling messes. Although your laptop is easily moved and designed to be mobile when you don't have wireless internet moving it becomes a pain. The further you want to get away from the item that you normally have it placed on just makes for a longer cord that you have to use to keep it connected to the internet and the longer your cord the more of a challenge that it becomes to manage and frankly the longer the cord there is more of a potential to lower your internet speed.
