Make This Valentines Day Unique with These Homemade Gifts

Valentines day is a day to share with the one you love. It is also a day to show them how much you care about them. It seems to me that many people are very uncreative on this holiday, giving out the usual chocolate, candy, and flowers. To me this is unacceptable, you should make you loved one something unique. This is sooo much more special then going out and buying him/her a stuffed puppy or chocolates. Here are six different things to give/ do for your valentine, to make this Valentines Day unique.

I am sure that you have many memories and good times that you have shared with the other person. Perhaps you have gotten this on tape/dvd. A great way to show a person that you care is to make them a personalized dvd, showing all the good times you both have had together. You could even provide commentary, or between different clips talk about how special they are to you. This is really a very easy and unique way of showing your valentine just how much you enjoy the time you spend with them. This also provides good cuddle time, since after the dvd is given you can both sit and watch it together. The smile on his or her face will be enough to show how much this small gesture means to your valentine.

If you do not have video clips of your valentine or you do not have enough time to edit a dvd for them, you could try making a scrapbook. Pick about twenty pictures that you love to put in it. However do not just put them in a photo album and give them to the person, this is unoriginal and well... just plain boring! There are several options you can choose from, to make this scrapbook. First you may want to go to your local craft store and pick up some scrapbook paper and decorations. You can then put the photographs on the paper surrounded by decorations. Another more unique approach is to write on the back of each of the pictures. You can explain what is going on in the picture and why it is so special to you. An idea that I love is to write this in the form of a poem on the back of the picture. This way the person knows that you put a lot of time into this gift.
