91% Success? Comes at a Price
Being new to the Los Angeles area I am not privy to the many long-standing, local urban squabbles which exist and which have existed in the LA lexicon for some years. It's hard for me to differentiate the local with the national with what went on in theLarry H Parker Law Offices

So it caught my ear today on a local spot when I heard about this lawyer guy, Larry H Parker. Some things in particular caught my attention; specifically the claim, "We win over 91% of our cases." I did a cursory amount of research on the www.larryhparker.com website and was very surprised to find that this isn't just one local office but four different offices in two states: Long Beach and Riverside, California and Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.
I scanned the side and saw a number of impressive verdicts and settlements (all of them titled "Roe vs. Doe" I'm assuming to protect the innocent): $1.675 Million "pedestrian struck by car," $1 Million "man hit by truck," $11.6 Million "construction worker paralyzed from waist down with $1,000,000.00 paid up front and another $10,600,000 over his lifetime," $3.34 Million "man injures head at work." Across the banner of their website, it proudly proclaims "Over $750 Million in settlements for our clients."
Then I reflected back to another number: "91% success rate."
I'm sure many of us have seen the TV show "Seinfeld." There was a recurring character of a lawyer, Jackie Chiles, who seemed to be as fast talking and an adherent to deductive reasoning and cherry picking as Mr. Parker's crackpot team.
