Many people face the wear of advanced aging caused by sun exposure. There are also numerous cases of people having things like facial blemishes due to excess pigmentation or even imperfections caused by things like melanin. All these potential problem spots on the face have led to a number of impressive breakthroughs in the industry.

In conversations with Dr. Raffi Dishakjian from Nu Vela Esthetica, he put it plainly enough. "Dark blemishes on the hands and face of a woman are her greatest aesthetic challenge." While it is so for both men and women, many of the people Dr. Dishakjian comes into contact with at his Porter Ranch, CA facility are women.

Very often women come to him as something of a last resort; he chortles at the thought because, as he puts it, he wields a "very versatile, dynamic process which (can be) easily adopted to the needs of each individual patient." The Cosmelan treatment makes possible the removal of "anti-aesthetic skin blemishes." Cosmelan also allows for recovery of "the smoothness of the skin (and the) bringing back its luminosity."

Many people may be suspicious of this treatment; as well they should. There have been a number of false hopes and many people have been left shafted and holding the bill for treatments which have been less than well received. There is some hope with this Cosmelan treatment though. Not only have past success rates been high, but the process is direct and effective. In other words, the Cosmelan treatments "have a direct effect on the intimate formation process of the pigment (melanin)."

Not only is Cosmelan effective, it's also safe. In fact Cosmelan has been deemed "suitable for all skin types with a very high safety margin." The way in which this product works is complex and all at once, simple. There is an inhibition of "tyrosinase, a basic enzyme in the melanin formation process. Several of the substances present in the Cosmelan formula act by blocking this enzyme," thus clearing up skin dramatically.
