I have always had good luck with the Margaret Holmes brand and have tried many of their canned dishes. This particular dish is one that I have enjoyed many times. I like to use the canned tomatoes, okra and corn mixed in with some fried potatoes as a side dish either for breakfast or for dinner.Margaret Holmes Canned Tomatoes, Okra and Corn Flavor:
The flavor is better than I expected it to be coming from a canned product. I really enjoyed the combination of the tomatoes and okra. I don't see a lot of this type of combination so it was refreshing. The texture of the okra was a bit mushy but the flavor held out nicely.
Margaret Holmes Canned Tomatoes, Okra and Corn Price:
The Mararet Holmes price was around a dollar and a half for 14.5 ounces. This was just under the price for their competitor.
Margaret Holmes Canned Tomatoes, Okra and Corn Value:
There is a good value here with the Tomatoes, Okra and Corn because all of the ingredients are thick and make for a good filler. The real value that comes from this product is that it contains enough to make a quick cheap meal simply by mixing it with some leftover chicken or any other leftover meat. Margaret Holmes Canned Tomatoes, Okra and Corn is a perfect side or over rice.
