The Next Generation Will Treat Ron Paul More Respectfully
America's legacy, you know, the constitution is somewhat in peril these days. I don't know if kids even learn about the constitution like we did. I do know that Congress seems to be very willing to either ignore or change the Constitution. That's where Ron Paul comes in.Ron Paul, republican candidate for President, has not had an easy campaign. Between the media and RNC ignoring him and people taking what he says out of context, it's a wonder the man is still on his feet.
Ron Paul just keeps on speaking out. And what he says is truth. Not always an easy thing to hear. But there is something about Ron Paul's truth, it sinks in over time. It makes a difference if you hear a sound bite or a complete train of thought on subjects. I have come to understand the passion of Ron Paul's supporters.
Ron Paul is, by his own account, a strict Constitutionalist. When is the last time you heard another candidate for President speak in those terms? Oh, they may use the word Constitution, but they don't want to follow it. That's where Ron Paul, the Constitution and legacy come in to it.
I worry about my country. I think the Constitution is hanging by a thin thread. I think by the time Congress and Bush and McCain get done, we will have totally open borders, no immigration laws being followed and tax burdens that will break us all. I believe that the National ID will put us under the thumb of the government to the point of us all becoming criminals in the eyes of the powers that be.
I see guns available only for the criminals, but law abiding citizens will not be able to own them. I see colleges that are unable and unwilling to teach our kids anything but the liberal/socialistic/dare I say Communist way of thinking.
I see Ron Paul, fighting for America and the Constitution to the bitter end. Within ten years, I see Ron Paul's speeches being listened to by people that were to young or too deaf to hear them before. It's this legacy that Ron Paul will always be remembered for.

Ron Paul very well may have objected to a woman's right to vote if it were politically acceptable for him.

I liked Ron Paul, except that he is a Libertarian. Now that I have seen how many supporters he has on Storm Front, I tend to believe he did indeed authorize those things he said he did not know about on his own newsletter. Senator Obama not only studied Constitutional law, he taught it and he is much younger and unites people, so Paul supporters should be voting for him as the best choice to bring the country back to the way it is supposed to be run. Freedom of Speech, for instance, was meant to give people the right to redress government; rights of those who protest war are violated when they are arrested, tear gassed and shot. It was never intended to allow the KKK to burn crosses to intimidate other citizens as Sandra Day O'Connor seems to think.

As usual, you so succinctly covered the subject in this article..right to the point..we do indeed have to give Ron Paul credit, not only for his stance over the years concerning the Constitution etc., but in fighting an uphill battle with the media and the NRC.
