Lost is now in its fourth season on air. This season is a Writer Strike shortened one, but they did manage to shoot 8 episodes before the strike and they will air every Thursday starting January 31st. Lost has been one of my favorite shows on television since it first aired on 9/24/2004. It combines mystery and suspense with great characters and great acting. Lost has many mysterious questions that some spend hours online researching, finding out what people think, and looking for clues or "Easter Eggs" that may hint at the answer.
Episode 2 Season 4 2/7/08
On the island, the show picks up where it left off with a man from a mysterious freighter, that is known online as simply "Not Penny's boat," parachuting on to the island to either rescue them as Jack (Matthew Fox) believes or possibly harm them all or worse as John Locke (Terry O'Quinn) thinks. The man is later figured out to be Daniel Faraday (Jeremy Davies), of the same team that Naomi (Marsha Thomason) was from, and that saving them is not their (his team's) primary objective on the island. Faraday does not explain more on this subject until later in the episode.
The rest of Faraday's team, along with their pilot and hopefully their helicopter have been scattered across the island in a mysterious electrical failure crash much like the one when Oceanic flight 815 crashed. Using a tracker Daniel, along with Jack and Kate go off to find "Miles" (last name unknown) another member of their team.
Miles (Ken Leung) is found and is immediately distrusting of Jack and Kate. He believes they killed Naomi due to Naomi's "tell my sister I love her" code from episode 1. Jack and Kate explain that Naomi was killed, but not by them, but by John Locke, a man who believes this team means harm and has gone off with several other members of the Oceanic survivors. Miles, still untrusting, wants to confirm this, so he is taken over to Naomi's body where he using his mysterious ghost speaking powers to communicate with Naomi's soul. Nothing more about this power, what it is, where it came from, if it's real, has been explained.
