Guide to Uninstall McAfee AntiVirus Software from Your Computer

It is no secret that computer viruses are a major concern in our modern computing age. Secondly, McAfee AntiVirus, over time, can become corrupted or bloated and need to be reinstalled. Lastly, there are times in which other software programs or hardware can have conflicts with McAfee AntiVirus, therefore you will need to uninstall the McAfee suite in order to use those programs or devices.

Removal though the Add or Remove Program Control Panel:

1) Click on Start, then on Control Panel.
2) Double-click on Add or Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Programs and Features (Windows Vista)
3) Find the Network Associates or McAfee product you currently have installed, for example, McAfee Security Center. double Click on it.
4) You will then be prompted to choose which McAfee products you wish to remove. Make sure all of the programs are checked, and choose remove.
5) At this point, you will be warned that you are "Reducing Your Computer's Protection." You know this, I warned you too, so just click to remove.
6) Your programs will be removed at this point. After removal, you will be prompted to reboot your computer; do this.
