Many of them will have folders for several work at home companies that list valuable information about these companies. Post and communicate with people who are already employed with these companies. These forums may lead to a legitimate opportunity working from home.

Never pay money to get a work at home job. The most that a legitimate company will ask for is for you to cover the cost of your background investigation. Typically, companies will require that you have certain equipment. However, legitimate companies will not request that you buy the equipment from them. They will either provide it for you or suggest where you may purchase it.

Consider the most common opportunities. Call centers, transcription services, tutoring and virtual assistant services are the most common legitimate work from home jobs. Call centers are by far the the easiest to get hired with and have the most available opportunities. For many this type of job is not exactly what they had in mind when they decided to work from home, but they do it because it meets their needs.
