How To Plan An Outdoor Renaissance Wedding-Bridal Attire
The first step in planning on getting married with an old world ceremony and celebration is to choose what everyone in the bridal party will wear for the big event. Here are a few ideas:
Bride:
A long lacy gown is a must with this theme. Search until you find one that fits you well and that you love. Even if it is not authentic in nature, it can be made to look so with a cape or other accessories. You can wear your hair cascading down your back, in spiral curls, or up with flowers entwined in the braids. Tiara's and other finishing touches will add a true air of the rescued princess, that found her knight in shining armor, that you want to be on that day.
Maid Of Honor/Bridesmaids/ Flower Girls:
For this theme, a costume shop or commissioned seamstress would be your best bet. But the budget doesn't allow this, make sure to find something that is not traditional. Look for corset like tops and/or long flowing arms to fit in well with the environment.
Groom/Groomsmen/Ring Bearer
Instead of traditional heavy armor, you can go a little lighter with chain-mail. It is specialty rings that are hooked together to make the covering that knights of old used to wear. It may be hard to find someone that does this work, but search the Internet as well as place online ads. It will be worth it in the end. Don't forget the replica swords for each member.
How To Plan An Outdoor Renaissance Wedding-Decorations/Ceremonial Touches
Next you must think about decorations as well as personal ceremonial touches when getting married with an old world ceremony and celebration. Here's a few suggestions to get you started:
Archways: Entwined with flowers, Arches for the bride to walk under and to have the ceremony under are always a beautiful idea.
