Some may wonder how to really succeed as a freelance writer, or wonder if it is possible and the answer to the last question is yes. It all depends upon how you measure success, as we all have different ideas about it, I make good money with freelance writing, but there is the other factor of success that personally I find just a rewarding. I am successful in both the finical terms as well as personal achievements, I make a livable wage here, and personally, I got a top 1000 badge, which shocked me and made me proud. For those of you quickly figuring out my page view average, please note I do a good amount of call for contents, which I do not collect the page views. My page views are about average to many on this site but are not over 500 yet!
Within this article, you will learn what four elements will help you succeed on this site or any of the other freelance writing sites out there. One important thing to remember is writing for fun, with topics that make you feel good, showing your passion and the money will come in, but it takes time to find the right mix.
I have been writing on associated content's web site since mid April of 2007, and am in many ways living out a life long dream of being a published writer. Working on associated content was a blessing for the extra money it brought in, and I seen the potential to turn it into a full time career, replacing a job that left me exhausted. That job also took me out of the state and tied up every weekend and as a single mom, I could no longer do that.
When I first changed careers, I was trying to put out 10 to 12 articles on associated content a day, and although I was doing it, most were being rejected because they were garbage. My page views dropped and what offers I did receive were in the lower 3-3.50 range, which meant writing many articles to get the full time wages. There simply was not enough time in the world to write that many articles and still do what I had to do as a mom.
