If you didn't happen to tune in for the 50th Grammy Awards, in my personal opinion, you missed some great performances. But don't fret -- catch the highlights on youtube. Overall it was a ridiculously long show that could have and should have been condensed to 90 minutes. There was a wide range of performances from Josh Grobin, to Amy Winehouse, to Carrie Underwood to Rhianna.

The best performance by far had to be that of Grammy Winner, Alicia Keys. Her live performance of "No One" was stellar. There was a slight rock twist infused with her soulful sound and she sang it beautifully. The song was further infused with the guitar presentation and vocals of John Mayer. She looked beautiful and her voice was amazing. Some of the not so hot performances go to American Idol alum, Carrie Underwood. She has performed "Before He Cheats" so many times, you could probably perform the song in your sleep. Another bad one? Beyonce and Tina Turner, and Rhianna and The Time. I know this was the 50th anniversary and all but enough is enough already.

Kanye West brought down the house with his performance of "Stronger" and "Mama". He made you feel his emotion in every part of your soul as he sang tribute to his mother. On the other side of the world, London saw Amy Winehouse perform live and she did what she is good at. She performed at the top of her game and despite all of her "problems" she still out performed most of the other acts. She performed "You Know I'm no Good" and also received the award for Record of the Year. Country superstar Brad Paisley also was a notable act, performing his hit single "Ticks".

I agree with your review 100% of the Grammys. I did miss some of the show, but I suppose that was okay too being one person I missed was Carry Underwood. On another note, I do think it was rude of what they did to West, knowing that he would pay tribute to his mother so I do agree with you, but I can't stand his cockyness (is that a word). So many times I have seen him and he preaches so much about how he should have won, he is the best and frankly I don't even like his music. However, again that being said, that was a shame the way he was treated and I am glad they let him continue. Thanks for a great review and "go Alicia", she was awesome.
