Shopping for kids Halloween costumes can be a daunting task, especially when trying to find just the right costumes at affordable prices. Unfortunately, kids Halloween costumes can be quite expensive, and when you have a number of kids wanting new Halloween costumes, it can be utterly unaffordable. Free candy isn’t free at all when Halloween costumes are upwards of $10 each for even the most basic costumes.

Quality is another issue. It seems that although Halloween costumes go up in price each and every year, the overall quality doesn’t. Halloween costumes sold in discount stores are often so cheaply made they barely make it through a few hours of wear.

Don’t settle for overpriced low-quality store-bought Halloween costumes. Make Halloween costumes for your kids that will last long after Halloween. Make your kids Halloween costumes that can be passed down, revamped, and reused again and again.

The following Halloween costumes for kids are easy to make, they’re impressive, and they won’t cost a small fortune. Make these costumes for your kids, and make this Halloween one to remember. You’ll save money, and your kids will love these creative costumes.

Life-Size Bag of Jellybeans

If you like jellybeans, turn yourself or one of your kids into a big bag of jellybeans this Halloween. All you need is an extra large clear plastic bag or a clear plastic tarp, scissors, a roll of clear box tape, and about two or three-dozen small balloons of various colors.

To make a life-size bag of jelly beans simply cut arm and leg holes into the sides and bottom of a clear plastic bag. If you can’t locate a large clear plastic bag, make one by cutting and taping together a clear tarp.

After stepping into the bag and putting your arms and legs through the holes, fill the bag with colored balloons. Fold over the top of the bag, and tape it closed with clear box tape.
