Blonde and Blonder - a Movie Review

Blonde and Blonder is a 2007 direct-to-video comedy starring Denise Richards and Pamela Anderson. Denise and Pamela play Dawn and Dee, two dim-witted blondes who get mistaken for assassins.I did not have high hopes for this movie. For one I didn't hear any publicity for this movie besides Denise Richards getting in trouble for throwing her laptop at a photographer. And two the movie stars Pamela Anderson. That fact alone is enough to ruin any movie. The movie ended up surprising me. I actually found Blonde and Blonder very funny.
Blonde and Blonder does have some silly plot about Dawn and Dee being mistaken as assassins. I guess the movie did need a plot to move the blonde jokes along because really the movie is just a bunch of blonde jokes. I have always been a fan of blonde jokes. Perhaps that is why I liked the movie. I definitely didn't like the movie because of Pamela Anderson. She was her normally self (no acting ability whatsoever) and looking quite old.
I liked the movie because of the blonde jokes but I still give the movie 2 stars out of 5. What really detracted from the movie was that everyone was dumb. The core funniness of blonde jokes is that blondes are dumb but everyone else is smart. The writers forgot about the fact in this movie. Everyone lacks intelligence in Blonde and Blonder. The two FBI agents, Agent Campbell and Agent Gardenia, are idiots who write juvenile comments about their boss on the bathroom wall. The two mob tagalongs, Swan and Leo, are probably even stupider then Dawn and Dee. The mob boss realizes they are stupid but yet still sends them trailing after Dawn and Dee.
