The Kashi Company opened its doors for business back in 1984. Their first product was Kashi Pilaf, a special blend of seven whole grains and sesame. Although this product wasn't an overnight success, in less than a year Kashi Pilaf was being served to Olympic athletes' as part of their powerhouse breakfast. It's been part of my healthy eating routine since 1994. While I'm certainly no athlete, when I eat this pilaf I definitely have more energy and stamina.

Since their humble beginnings, Kashi has developed more than 50 health food products, many of which include organic ingredients. For breakfast lovers, Kashi offers three amazingly delicious hot and cold organic cereals. Known as Organic Promise Cereal, these whole grain cereals include: Autumn Wheat,Cinnamon Harvest and Strawberry Fields.

Autumn Wheat is made from whole organic wheat berries, sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice. The cereal is shaped into woven bite-size biscuits which can be topped with milk and fresh fruit. Autumn Wheat tastes great straight out of the box and makes a perfect energizing snack throughout the day. One cup of this wholesome cereal contains only one gram of fat, yet provides a whopping 24-percent of fiber. Since many American's diets are lacking fiber, this is an easy way to get what you need.

The flavor of Cinnamon Harvest is reminiscent of French toast. The great thing is you can enjoy it without the guilt! At only 190 calories per cup, these baked crunchy bite-sized biscuits are infused with the perfect amount of spicy organic cinnamon and sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice. I like to top this cereal with organic Almond milk or Rice milk for an even sweeter flavor. It's a great snack and can easily be transported in a reusable container, making it perfect for road trips with the kids.

I am sick and tired of your Kashi commercial (TV) wherein some woman constantly alludes to "feud" instead of the word "food". Aren't your commercials edited? YOu need someone to proof the commercials before they are blasted on to the airwaves.

I bought Kashi cereal and cereal bars for my kids. They hated both. I took a chance and made my own homemade bars out of the cereal and they loved them! Great review!

Well, I can tell you that I don't like their "granola bars." They are too dry!

I had to take a look at this. I am such an idiot with Organic food. It has just never caught my interest. So thanks for making me smarter today :)

The long and winding road to a Kashi store may be worth the trip for those "strawberry fields."
