Homemade Hair Conditioners

Many of us spend lots of time looking for the right hair conditioner. We want a hair conditioner that will make our hair healthier, shinier, thicker, and more manageable.

While you can find plenty of good hair conditioners at a store or salon, you can also make an effective, and more affordable, hair condoner right at home.

Some home made hair conditioner treatments seem to contain dozens of ingredients, and take the skills of a trained chemist to prepare. And, while some of them are excellent, the following homemade hair conditioners only have one or two ingredients, and take little to no time to prepare.

Mayonnaise and Avocado Hair Conditioner

This homemade hair conditioner will deep condition your hair.

Put a small jar of real mayonnaise and half of an avocado in a bowl. Use a fork or spoon to smash and mix the mayonnaise and avocado together until they are smooth. Apply the creamy mixture to your unwashed hair, from the roots to the ends. Then place a plastic shower cap on your head. Leave the mixture on your hair for twenty minutes. While you’re waiting, do something relaxing, like read a book or listen to music. After twenty minutes have passed, shampoo, making sure to wash out all of the mixture.

Quick Mayonnaise Hair Conditioner

Here’s a simpler hair conditioner using mayonnaise. Dampen your hair. Apply a thick layer of real mayonnaise to your hair, from roots to ends. Then, comb the mayonnaise through your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Leave the mayonnaise on your hair for twenty minutes, then shampoo.

Beer Rinse Hair Conditioner

If you want hair that is more manageable, as well as having more body, try this hair conditioner. After your shampoo, rinse your hair in a bottle of flat, warm beer. Rinse thoroughly, making sure you get rid of all of the beer smell.

Watercress Hair Conditioner

This hair conditioner could help to control your oily hair.
