Spring is just around the corner and it's time to take some action in getting housework done, whether it's outside or in. I know it can be frustrating and overwhelming when you think about all the work that's involved. Try to not to get frustrated though, take it one step at a time. Not every room has to be cleaned all in the same day, just do one room at a time.

One of the major parts about Spring cleaning is the clutter and it's so easy to get clutter started. Start with your child's room and have your child participate in cleaning. Buy colored storage totes, shoe racks, toy boxes, and a laundry hamper for the children's room. Having a laundry hamper is an easy way to prevent clutter, this way dirty clothes won't be lying on the floor. Shoe racks will prevent shoes from being strung out all over the place, same for the toy boxes. Storage totes are great to store away crayons, small toys, clothes, and many other things. Also buying a bookshelf is great to display books, movies, figurines, and collectibles in your child's room. By having your child participate in this, they will get a sense of how to keep their room tidy. Do this with every bedroom in the house. Make it a rule to tidy the house every weekend. This will prevent you from having to spend a whole week or organizing. During the week try to keep every thing where it's suppose to be.

For the kitchen, put the dishes away every night, this way you won't have to wake up to a dirty kitchen. Buy utensil racks for unnecessary utensils lying around, same for pots and pans. You can also buy a rolling cart with shelves, this would be great storage for pots and pans, utensils, non-perishables, and spices. Spice racks, and china cabinets are also great storage investments.

The office room is always a hectic one. Organize any important paper work into categorized folders and store in file cabinets, or storage totes. Buy a CD rack for any computer discs. Storage totes are great for any office supplies, printer paper, cartridges, etc. This is also a great room to have a bookshelf in.
