I love vintage board games. You can use the vintage game boards to make some fun and great looking centerpieces for your wedding reception tables. So, if you and your groom love board games, then try these vintage wedding centerpieces on or size!

Create a Foundation

Open up your favorite vintage game boards and place one in the middle of each of your wedding reception tables. You can use everything from vintage checker boards, vintage monopoly boards, and even kids games you loved when you were growing up.

In the middle you can place candles in a glass votive. Use non drip pillar candles. Fill in around the candles with game pieces from the vintage game boards. This is a great time to use up pieces from old games where you are missing a few!

Backdrops for a Centerpiece

Vintage game boards also make fun back drops for a centerpiece at a wedding reception. You can use two boards and stand them up back to back. This is the perfect option for smaller vintage game boards or even puzzles.

If you have taller folding boards, then fold them into an L shape and lean their backs against each other.

Stand candles in votives, flowers, and more game pieces in front.

This idea is a little more interactive and allows you guests to reach out and play with some of those game pieces from the vintage wedding centerpieces.

If your game board has trivia cards or other game cards, like Trivial Pursuit or Monopoly then you can sue those as well. Try fanning them out face down on the table. Your wedding guest is sure to pick them up, read a fun fact and interact with other wedding guests.

Cool Candles

Finally, you can also take some clear candle wax and melt it in a pot on the stove. Start pouring some into a candle mold, fill it about 1/3 of the way up.

Now, pour some plastic game board pieces, like Monopoly House, plastic checkers, and more into the wax . Let them settle a little, then fill the rest of the mild with wax.

These candles can be stood on the game boards used as back drops or laid flat on the table.
