Jitters. Sweats/Clamminess. Tachycardia (Rapid Heart Rate). Numbness Tingling of the face and lips. These are all potential side effects of the inhaled medication Albuterol. I experienced most of them.

As a police officer and a mild asthmatic I have to be doubly careful about my safety.
Common allergens like cats, dust and mold would set off asthma attacks for me so I needed to a medication that would help me deal with those issues and get me back in the game quickly. Enter Albuterol Sulfate. I began using it as I needed and didn't really have much trouble. Then one day I started to tighten up ( I felt an asthma attack coming on.) so I took my Albuterol as usual. Thankfully I wasn't working, because a few moments later my heart started racing and I started to sweat. I thought something was seriously wrong. My wife, an asthma nurse, told me it sounded like I was experience some side effects from the medication. and to lay down and relax. I did that and the feelings eventually subsided, except now I felt absolutely exhausted. I proceeded to sleep for about 18 hours. The medication had put my body through such a ringer it just zapped me.

Takeaways
