Are Blondes Dumb or Just Another Stereotypical Label by Society?

I dislike going into an electronics department of any store and being approached by a well-meaning male associate who maybe working on commission and having him point out the features of whatever it is I am looking at. What does this male associate see when he looks at me that led him think he can talk down to me about electronics with no reservations.

I wonder it is simply because I am a blonde-haired female or simply because I am a female that he thinks he can talk to me, as I am a child. In general, all of society seems to think that blondes are less smart then everyone else and we natural blondes get a bad reputation.

There are blonde jokes in great quantities I do not consider them either humorous or witty and if I hear one more, I will screech at the top of my lungs. There are many dumb blondes everywhere around the earth, but dumb people come with all colors of hair as well as those people lacking hair.

For all dumb commercials, I have heard it must have been a blonde that came up with the idea, and that idea is just so ridiculous it does not deserve a comeback. When any idea is deemed dumb by a society, people within that society attribute it to a man or a blonde. It is crazy thinking not all blondes or men have dumb ideas, and it unfairly stereotypes blondes in a bad light.

I choose to lighten my dark blonde hair, which has replaced my golden locks I had as a child, I call it my de-intelligence method so that no one asks me any hard questions. All humor aside, I do it because I enjoy the sun kissed look of being a blonde and truthfully, I have been doing it since I turned seventeen and had my first strands of gray appear.

When people find out I am a computer technician, they look at me strange and it is for two reasons, I am blonde and I am a pc tech. Once a client sees that, I know my stuff they are fine, but the blonde haired woman that walked into their office was certainly not, what they anticipated.
