I am a great fan of the Pamela's Products and even my celiac son is kind of ok with their special recipes. Recently we accidently bumped into the Simplebites Chocolate Chip Cookies and the experience was totally out of the world. It was hard to believe that it is a gluten free chocolate cookies and I have to cross check the ingredients to conform it. This is one of the very few cookies that can be nibbled by the family as a whole without any differences among the gluten sensitive and tolerable guys. Now not only my son but I am also addicted to it and I am glad that finally there is something that I can share with my son. What makes the Pamela's Products so unique and stand out from the rest of GF cookies is t heir unflinching commitment to deliver high quality stuff without compromising on the taste, flavor and texture. Remember that these cookies are made without wheat and hence do not expect the taste to be in par with the regular chocolate cookies. It is just that the Simplebites are way ahead of just being palatable. The size is perfect and it comes out easily from the pack without any need of digging. These are so tasty that I find them irresistible and cannot simply stop munching them. It resembles closely to Chips Ahoy.
The main ingredients of this cookie are rice flour, chocolate chunks, eggs, cinnamon, cloves and organic evaporated cane juice. Usually the GF cookies have a weird aftertaste and disgusting smell with rough texture. But the Pamela's have overcome this issue by carefully selecting the ingredients in right proportion. For instance the other GF cookies use corn flour that have a slight hint of bitter taste and this is replaced by rice flour in the Simplebites. The rice flour also makes them crunchy and crispy. The cane juice blend with the chocolate pieces to make the cookies deliciously sweet. Chocolate, cinnamon and the cloves are my favorite flavors that blend with each other to give an exotic flavor like never before.
