The Hottest T.V. Actor - Taye Diggs

Whose the hottest actor on television these days?  No one we've been watching on summer reruns, but in the next couple of weeks, we'll get to see Taye Diggs light up the screen again.  He's the best reason to return to the television this fall!

Taye Diggs burst on the scene in 1998 as Winston, Angela Bassett's boy toy love interest in "How Stella Got Her Groove Back."  Since then he has made numerous guest appearances on television series and starred in a number of less than stellar movies.  In 2001, we finally got treated to a weekly dose of Diggs, when he appeared on "Ally McBeal" as Lucy Liu's love interest and brought new life to the series.

Although he was overshadowed in 2002's "Chicago" by the amazing performances of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zellweger and the surprising song-and-dance skill of Richard Gere, Diggs, in the role of The Band Leader, shone.  Unfortunately, he wasn't as lucky in movie roles for the next couple of years.  The good news there was that Diggs returned to the small screen in 2004 as the title character in the critically acclaimed "Kevin Hill."  Had it been on another network, Diggs might finally have been able to get the audience he deserves, instead of being cancelled after just one season.  Taye returned to the big screen when he reprised his role as "Benny" in the movie version of "Rent."

This fall we will finally get another chance to see Taye on television in the new series "Day Break."  What's it about?  Who cares!  It stars the man with the greatest smile on television!  "Day Break" would have to be pure torture in every other way to make it unwatchable.  Diggs' smile draws you in, his eyes make you feel like he's looking straight at you, and he oozes sex appeal.  We can only hope that "Day Break" will call for at least one shirtless scene a week!
