Celebrity Weight Loss Tricks After Pregnancy

Find Out What Kate Hudson and Angelina Jolie Did to Lose the Weight

Often, it is discouraging to look at a celebrity who recently had a child and see that the baby weight they gained seems to have melted away. Especially when you have dieted, done hundreds of crunches, and done everything you can think of short of starvation to lose baby weight.

There are secrets to how celebrities lose weight after having a baby. Some of them involve money, others involve workouts, and still others involve common sense. Once you realize the tricks celebrities have at their disposal to lose weight, you should be able to set your own goals for
 realistic weight loss.

Don't let celebrity weight loss and fads move you in the wrong direction for weight loss after pregnancy.

First, realize that celebrities have access to personal trainers, chefs, and nutritionists who make weight loss easier, and more appetizing. When you reach for a healthy snack, it is probably a raw carrot or celery stick. Celebrities have chefs who prepare delicious tasting, healthy recipes to encourage them in their pursuit of baby weight loss.

I'm sure if you weren't busy changing diapers, wiping noses, running back and forth to weekly doctor's appointments, and balancing the rest of your family you might have time to make healthy entrees more appealing. Chances are, once you do find the time to experiment with healthy food the husband and kids will rebel and order pizza. That's just the way it goes.

In addition to a company of weight loss gurus escorting celebrities through the labyrinth of food and temptation, there are a few other celebrity tricks to losing weight.

Many celebrities opt for a C-tuck once they have a cesarean section. It is an immediate tummy tuck. First of all, no one told me this was an option. Secondly, I'm sure it is grossly expensive.

Despite the assembly of nutritionists and trainers, many celebrities actually work off the baby weight. That should be an encouragement to you if you are struggling with baby weight. Celebrities use some of the same methods you do to get rid of baby fat: goal setting, Zone Diet, watching their diet, and breastfeeding.

This is so true. Celebrities have the best of everything, and they have someone to take care of the kids while working out. My work out is taking care of the kids! :-) Great article, Lenora!

I'll stick with the tried and true that works for me.

Great article! I try to remind myself that if I had access to personal trainers and gym equipment and the time to work out with it then it might be easier to drop the weight. Other people could try my plan... get pregnant again only 9 or 10 months after the first baby so that you have no time to eat and are chasing after a toddler while burning calories from being pregnant. It's worked pretty well for me. LOL

Isn't it ridiculous how so many celebrity mums are able to look skinnier than those who haven't even had a baby so soon after giving birth?! I hadn't heard of a c-tuck before. That's a new one on me! Sophie

I hate celebrity or "fad" diets. I once weighed 145 lbs. (I'm 5'3") but managed to get down to 120 lbs. by exercising and eating a more balanced diet (I did not deny myself junk food I just ate it in moderation). The only secret to dieting and weight loss I feel is by doing these two things together. Not only will you lose weight but your health improves as well. Funny thing is that after I had each of my three babies I found the weight loss easier, but then again every one is different. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck KEEPING it off if you are not a celebrity. Wait until they turn 50. Oh yeah - they will still be gorgeous.

I like Kelly's philosophy.

It is tough to lose weight and keep it off. Most of these diets work great in the short term, but it must be a change in eating habits and lifestyle. Great article!
