Not only can Texas students get educated in school, but after hours as well:

At the Log Cabin Village at 2100 Log Cabin Village Lane, Fort Worth, at fully restored, authentic 19th-century log cabins, Timber Tales Preschool Story time will be held Sept. 15th from 10-11 a.m. Admission is $3 for children. Reservations are required by calling 817-871-6769. A Harvest Homecoming will be held Sept. 30th from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free this day only.

At the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, 1720 Gendy Street in Fort Worth you can go on a scavenger hunt, ride a bronc, see cowgirl movies, and get your picture taken in a movie poster. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mon.-Thurs., 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Fri., Sat., and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 and $7 for kids 3-12.

Check out the Oscar E. Monnig Meteorite Gallery at Texas Christian University in the Sid Richardson Building, 2950 W. Bowie Street, Fort Worth, and see a large collection of meteorites while touching a piece of Mars. The exhibit is free and hours are 1-4 p.m. Tues.-Fri. and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

At the Artisan Center Theater at Belaire Plaza, 420 E. Pipeline Road in Hurst you can view the movie "Cheaper By the Dozen" Sept. 8-30. Admission is $11 for students; $8 ages 12 and younger; $9 for all ages Monday and Thursday. Reservations are recommended. At the Dallas Children's Theater's Rosewood Center for Family Arts, 5938 Skillman Street kids can see "If You Give a Pig a Party" Sept. 22-Oct. 22. Admission is $16 for youth and $14 for students.
