Do you have friends who seem to have everything but work as secretaries and construction workers? Times haven't changed so much that these working class jobs are suddenly high-paying jobs. The interesting thing about your friends is that they don't really have everything, and there is nothing they have that is out of reach. This article describes 4 strategies full of great tips. These tips will help you to live well. Of course, living well means something different to everyone. Before reading the strategies, think about making a household budget. Until you find the time to sit down and work out the details, use these tips to overhaul your daily and weekly spending.
Your first goal is to create a savings jar. This is really for spare change and small bills. You might be surprised how fast it adds up to money to buy those extras that you thought were out of reach. Your mission is to keep taking out the same amount of money every week that you normally spend. When you save money with smarter choices, you are going to throw the extra money into the savings jar.
The second thing is to earnestly pack a lunch and a couple of drinks for the work day. You can even keep a cooler in the car when you run errands on the weekend. A trick for doing this is to buy groceries that you wouldn't mind eating when you are in a hurry. There are easy solutions like premade PB&J sandwiches and frozen burritos. Snacks are easy to put together in zipper bags from your existing munchies supply. Every time you would normally spend money on a meal, you can come home and throw the extra three or four dollars into the money jar.
The third strategy is to change your spending habits on the weekend. If you are an avid moviegoer, go to the matinee on Saturday instead of the Friday night show. If you are a bowler, eat before you go. Next, bowl three games instead of four games. Every couple of bucks you save will result in more money in the money jar.
