He and She: A Parable of Domestic Violence

Would you know if you were in a potentially abusive relationship? Untold numbers of American women are abused by an intimate partner every year; the Bureau of Justice reports that in recent years, about one third of female murder victims were killed by an intimate. So, you ask, what does an abusive relationship "look" like? Well, here is a picture for you. This is a story about "He" and "She." The concepts and personality traits in this story are representative of our treatment experiences in the Family Advocacy Program.
