Tuesday night's live broadcast of the Westminster Kennel Club 2008 Championship was televised on USA network from 8-11pm EST. Tuesday evening's line-up included best of group among sporting, working, and toy dogs. Four awards were given in each category.

Best in Show, the most anticipated award of Westminster was awarded Tuesday evening. The winner of Best in Show is chosen from among group winners in each division. This year, "Uno," first place winning beagle in the hound group took Best in Show. Despite Las Vegas predictions that a Standard poodle would be the show favorite, after "Uno," a.k.a "K-Run's Park Me in First" had an amazing showing last night he began to win crowd favor. "Uno's" win as Best in Show is a strong indication of America's new love for the beagle, the fifth most loved dog on AKC's best of 2007 list.

Winners in the sporting group began with a Weimaranar, "Colsidex Seabreeze Perfect Fit," taking first place. "Colsidex Seabreeze Perfect Fit" is a sleek, toned Weimaranar was a perfect selection for Westminster Kennel Club Best in Sporting group. Pointers, Spaniels, Retrievers, Setters, and Terriers among more unique breeds dominated the sporting group. "Cookieland Seasyde Hollyberry," a Pointer and the daughter of another championship Pointer, took second place among the sporting breeds. "Cookieland Seasyde and Hollyberry" is among a group of Pointers known for their fun loving temperament, intellect, and beauty. It is little surprise that "Cookie" took second place with her beauty and perfect movements.

Third place in sporting group was won by a Cocker Spaniel, a crowd favorite, known as "Lydgate Rise N' Shine." "Lydgate Rise N' Shine" is a beautiful, near perfect golden Cocker Spaniel ASCOB. "Chestnuts Selling the Drama," an English Cocker Spaniel won forth place among the sporting dogs at Westminster.

If you didn't see him, you should see the beagle that won. Beautiful, sleek, strong. Now maybe "Uno" will bring more attention to beagles....America's Dog....apple, pie, hotdogs, chevrolets, and beagles....yeah
