Silvian Nita owner of European Master Tailor has a long history of his experience as a tailor. His roots from Craiova, Romania, and expertise as a tailor in his homeland helped him decide to be what he was good at, making and tailoring clothing.
Back in Romania he was his own tailor, for himself and for his family and friends. He made custom clothing to their tastes and were greatly happy with how perfect he made their clothing for them. He has said to me "Back in Romania I went to school to learn tailoring when I was 14 because my father recommended it to me since I was sick and suffered with Asthma as a child and teenager, and something like this would be easy on me and not so demanding physically." He also added "As it turned out, I did a great job according to my trainers. I graduated when I was 17. Later when my friends saw me wearing a few clothing that I made myself and they started to admire them and asked me to make some for them. Then friends of my friends started arriving at my door and asking me to make them custom clothing. It was hard to find trendy clothing, and they where usually custom made."

After running away from communism, and escaping to Italy with two of his brothers, he was able to get his Visa and come to the States. "I had to leave my wife and two children behind to escape and find a better living for them." he also said "It was hard leaving them behind, but the whole time my thoughts where on how I could provide a better future for them."
After Nita's visa was accepted for the United States, he came and situated in Portland, Oregon where he got help from his cousins, and their local church. His first tailoring job was working for a manufacturing company making uniforms. After a few months he was able to fill out the papers to bring his family. He was able to bring them to the U.S. in April, 1987. "I was so happy to see my family again."
Since his escape to Italy and the arrival of his wife and two children it has been 20 months. "It was a hard 20 months of not seeing my family, and working so hard just to bring them here was very much worth it."
