Anyone who has a little girl in their household know that most of them want to be a princess. This very cute princess name sign is perfect for a little girl's bedroom door, and is perfectly pink to match.

For this project, you will need:

- One eight inch tin scroll tile (found in stores and online at Viking Wood Crafts)

- Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Ballet Slipper

- Krylon Short Cuts Brush On Paint in Hot Pink

- Krylon Short Cuts Brush On Paint in Sun Yellow

- Krylon Short Cuts Brush On Paint in Red Pepper

- Krylon Short Cuts Brush On Paint in Clear Gloss

- Artist's paintbrush

- Sponge brush

- Paper plate

- Masking tape

- Pencil

- "Font Style Eight" Two Inch Alphabet Stencil Set (found online at Primitive Stenciling)

- Ruler

- Hot glue gun and glue sticks

- One inch wide hot pink satin ribbon

- Newspaper or drop cloth

When using spray paints in a project, it is always recommended to use a work area that is well ventilated and covered with a newspaper or drop cloth. Also, use extreme caution when working with tin as sharp edges can cause cuts or other serious injuries.

Lay the eight inch tin scroll tile flat on your workspace. Cover the entire front of the tile with Krylon Indoor Outdoor Paint in Ballet Slipper. Let the paint dry for fifteen to twenty minutes before adding a second coat. Turn the tile over and repeat the process with the back of the tin tile. Dry completely.

Secure the lettering for the words "princess" and your child's name onto the tin tile with masking tape using the "Font Style Eight" two inch alphabet stencil set. Pour a bit of Krylon Short Cuts Brush On Paint in Hot Pink onto the paper plate. With the artist's paintbrush, fill in the letters with the hot pink paint. Let the lettering dry completely before removing the stencils.

Takeaways
  • Use extreme caution when working with tin as sharp edges can cause cuts or other serious injuries.
  • Hot glue each end of the fabric ribbon to one of the top corners of the back of the tin.
  • Hang on a small nail for best display.
