April is just around the corner, which means that the NFL Draft is fast approaching. With players having been closely examined at the Senior Bowl and fast on their way to being poked and prodded at the NFL Combine, I thought there is no better thing to do than see where these players are possibly headed at this point in the drafting process.

Here are my projected picks for teams 1-3:

1. Miami Dolphins - Glenn Dorsey (DT), LSU - If there was a better player in college football in 2007, I don't know who it was. Thankfully for him, a general manager interested in a glitzy first round quarterback doesn't control the team with the first pick. Glenn Dorsey is just the opposite; a hard-nosed tackle, with acceleration and strength to cause terror in backfields for the better part of the next decade. Dorsey doesn't exactly fit the mold of a 3-4 interior linemen, but with his talent, head coach Tony Sparano and his staff can make it work.

2. St. Louis Rams - Jake Long (OT), Michigan - For a while, it wasn't clear as to whether or not Jake Long had wrapped up the #1 tackle spot in this year's draft, but after a great performance at the Senior Bowl, it seems pretty evident that Long will be the first offensive lineman taken in this year's draft. Jake is seasoned Senior, thus he is technically sound and has the ability to play both tackle positions at the next level. He is 6'7", but he only weighs 307-pounds, which means he has a lot of room for growth, and he will only get stronger over his next few years in the league. He makes a perfect fit for the St. Louis Rams after all of the injuries they had on the offensive line last year. I fully expect him to earn a starting position with the team in his rookie year, but even if he doesn't, the Rams certainly need added insurance to prevent the disaster their line turned into last season.
