Uno remained number one. Named Best In Show at the 2008 Westminster Dog Show, the 15 inch Beagle did what many humans do - celebrated. Officially named CH K-Run's Park Me In First, Uno now joins the ranks of "James", "Josh," and others as a household name that won Best In Show at America's premier dog show.

In typical Beagle fashion he vocally encouraged his fans in the crowd who not only had cheered as he strutted his stuff in front of the judges but gave the dog a rare standing ovation. Thrust into the international spotlight he did what Beagles do best - he barked and bawled and danced in 'uncivilized' dog show fashion.

Despite being the fifth most popular dog in the American Kennel Club standings, the Beagle isn't listed on the top lists of many cities. The reasons could well be that irresistable urge Beagles get to "give voice". When people are happy and excited they join right in.

Popular in both the 13 inch and 15 inch size, the Beagle has long been a family favorite. A hound developed for rabbit hunting, the Beagle's willingness to "give voice" comes naturally and is a trait that runs deep. They are generally happy dogs. As a show dog, their 'independent' hound nature combined with their outgoing attitude make them good show dogs. Because they were bred to be hunted in packs, they have a social temperament that gets along well with other dogs. Their short coats, wonderful attitudes and unique nature have made them favorites not only as show dogs but as hunters as well as pets.

According to the Westminster Kennel Club website, officially Uno is owned by Caroline Dowell, Eddie Dziuk, Jon Woodring and Kathy Weichert. Born May 5, 2005 from the breeding of CH Windkist A Walk In The Park and CH Lecacy's Lil Secret At K-Run, the pint sized now-superstar was bred by Kathy Weichert and Leah Bertagnolli.
